Using Probes

Probes are special units used for spying and sabotage missions. They are built by Probe Factories, Probe Factories produce probes on a figure of your Probe Factories multiplied by a random number between 0.5 and 1. Without probes you will be unable to get military information or participate in sabotaging, kidnapping or arsoning during hostile/war relations.

Probes are not only used against other kingdoms, but they also help defend your kingdom against probe operations from other players. The more probes you have the harder it is to probe your kingdom.

When you send probes on a mission a certain amount of them will be lost each time, this depends on your break chance and whether or not you fail. If you don't want to lose much probes then you should shield your probes, it will cost you one unit of power for each probe you have when shielding (we do not have the option to only shield a certain amount) but it will greatly decrease your loss of probes. Tactical Ops Facilities help in reducing the amount of probes you lose, this reduces losses by up to 80%, if you wish to do this than you must have 10% of your buildings as Tactical Ops Facilities (10% * 8 = 80%). The formula for various building percents are as follows (TOPS% = X%).

These are the Probe Operations available:

Spy on Kingdom: Reveals the status and total military of the target.

Spy on Military: Reveals the targets military situation, and allows the

                attack calculator to be used.

Spy on Buildings: Reveals the buildings and construction status of the target.

Spy on Research : Reveals the Research progress of the target

Arson: Destroy 1 Civilian Residence for each 1000 probes you send

      (seems to be capped at a %)

Sabotage Power plants: Destroy 1 Power Plant for each 1000 probes you send

                     (seems to be capped at a %)

Kidnappings: Kidnaps 1 population for each 10 probes you send
(up to 5% of the

            victim's pop) and adds 25% of kidnapped pop to your population.
